Huawei has started rolling out more updates to the Watch GT 2, Watch 3 and Watch 3 Pro, having recently brought the trio onto newer software versions in the last few weeks. This time, Huawei is finalising firmware version 11.0.14.48 for the Watch GT 2 and Harmony OS 2.0.0.16 for the Watch 3 series, up from firmware version 11.0.14.57 and HarmonyOS 2.0.0.197, respectively.

According to Huawei Central, firmware version 11.0.14.48 remains in public beta, for the time being. The website writes that the update expands support for third-party apps, while enabling several new health and fitness features. For example, you can now manually record your menstrual cycle and import more data from other fitness tracking devices. Moreover, firmware version 11.0.14.48 allows you to view sunrise and sunset times during outdoor workouts.

By contrast, HarmonyOS 2.0.0.216 overhauls SMS quick reply functionality for the Watch 3 and Watch 3 Pro. Now, the pair support more quick replies, and it should be easier to action them. Huawei promises to have optimised system performance and security, too. Both updates are available to download through the Huawei Health app.
